Trips and Travel

Discover new destinations and enjoy memorable adventures with our adult and senior trips and travels. From exciting day excursions to unique partner tours with Collette Travel, participants can explore, socialize, and create lasting memories—all while leaving the planning to us.

PSA: PenMet Senior Advocates

We invite you to help shape meaningful and enjoyable activities for seniors in our community. Gig Harbor area residents ages 55+ are encouraged to join our discussion group. Whether you attend once or every month, your input is valued as we work together to enhance senior programming at PenMet Parks. The PSA meets the third Friday each month.

Speaker Series

PenMet Parks’ Speaker Series invites you to connect, learn, and engage with timely topics that matter to our community.

March – Self Defense for SeniorsFeel safer and more confident in your daily life after hearing this lecture specifically for older adults. You’ll learn about situational awareness and how to avoid becoming a target. No physical skills involved. Presented by Gig Harbor Self Defense.

Advance registration is appreciated as a planning courtesy. Refreshments will be provided.

Bowling Meet-Up

Join us for a fun and active monthly senior meet-up at Ocean5! No experience is needed – just bring your energy and enjoy the chance to socialize, make new friends, and knock down some pins together. All equipment is provided, so simply show up ready for a good time.

Advance registration is required to reserve lanes.There is no registration fee; participants pay Ocean5 directly for bowling ($5 + tax).

Stitch and Chat

Bring your favorite stitchery project—knitting, crocheting, embroidery, mending, or hand sewing—and enjoy a fun, creative, and productive session. Share in the wisdom, support, and laughter of the group while making progress on your work. Refreshments are provided, and inviting a friend makes the social time even better!

Art Exploration

Embrace your inner artist while building new friendships. Learn the fundamentals and develop your skills in a range of art styles and mediums, from watercolor painting to music and mosaic arts.

Dance & Movement

Our dance and movement classes offer something for everyone. Have fun in these low-impact move-to-music programs that are friendly to all body types! Moving to a wide variety of upbeat music makes exercising that much more enjoyable and fun, especially with a group.
