Administrative Office is Moving
PenMet Parks’ New LocationWe’re excited to announce we are moving. On Monday, December 4 and Tuesday, December 5 we will provide customer service via phone, email, or by appointment during this office move. We will resume full service on Wednesday, December 6, 8:30 AM, at our new administrative office, located at 2416 14th Ave NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335, just a quarter of a mile from Tubby’s Trail Dog Park.
Holiday Giving TreeHelp us bring joy to families in need this holiday season! PenMet Parks is hosting a Giving Tree for Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH at our administrative office. Unwrapped gift donations may be dropped off M-F, 8:30 AM – 5 PM, beginning Wednesday, December 6 at the new office, 2416 14th Ave NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335.

Registration Opens December 12
Winter program registration begins Wednesday, December 12 at 9 AM. You can register online, over the phone, or in person. We welcome youto the new administrative office on December 12, from 9-11 AM for light refreshments and to meet your Recreation Services team who are ready to support you with registration. Tacoma DeMolay Sandspit Nature PreserveCommunity Open HouseWednesday, December 13 at 5:30 PMNichols Community Center
Join us for an interactive discussion as PenMet Parks develops a master plan for the Tacoma DeMolay Sandspit Nature Preserve. This projectrepresents a comprehensive process that is designed to engage local residents. There are many natural features to carefully consider indeveloping a master plan for this 3.56-acre park located on the northeast tip of Fox Island. Community input will help guide how to allow low-impact public access to the park. During the plan development process, special care will be given to protecting vegetation and wildlife of this special waterside ecosystem that includes 1,500 feet of marine shoreline. Join us at the Annual Teen Masquerade Ball for an evening of costumes, dancing, and refreshments. Bring your own mask or borrow one from us. All middle school and high school aged teens are welcome to participate. Pre-registration is required.

Pricing and Refund Policy Updates
We have recently updated some policies at PenMet Parks. The pricing policy includes priority registration for District Residents and a pricedifference for program fees. Rosedale Hall Renovation
Restoring a Community Treasure
Rosedale Community Hall is beloved by local residents. Through the decades, it has played a pivotal role in the community, serving as aschool, a church, an exercise studio, and hosting countless local groups and events. This fall, PenMet Parks began a quality renovation, withwork focusing on structural improvements, ADA upgrades, new restrooms, and replacing aging systems. The goal is to restore this community gem while maintaining its unique character. The renovation is expected to be complete in summer 2024, and we look forward to an improved facility for all to enjoy. Learn more on our website.

Just before Valentine’s Day, join us at Ocean 5 for our Family Sweetheart Dances and a heartwarming gathering where parents, children, and loved ones come together to enjoy music, dancing, crafts, and sweet treats. Reserve your space to create lasting memories in a warm and inclusive atmosphere. This is a great event for families with children ages 12 and under. Fee: $25 per person.
